In addition to vomiting, diarrhea is one of the most common presenting complaints that veteri­narians deal with on a daily basis. Surveys have confirmed that a majority of practicing veteri­narians rank definitive diagnosis and manage­ment of chronic intermittent and chronic persistent diarrhea as one of the most challenging and frustrating aspects of their medical practices.
