Mandibular Lymph Node

Two or three mandibular lymph nodes are grouped around the facial vein near the angle of the mandible. They drain superficial structures of the face and also the intermandibular space. There is overlap with the region drained by the parotid and the mandibular nodes. Their efferents drain to the medial retropharyngeal lymph node. They are always palpable (Fig. 11.6/10).
