16.7.1 Horse
The body is as thick as the head, and the tail projects caudally. The epididymis lies dor- sally almost entirely on the testis.
16.7.2 Ruminant
The head of the epididymis is dorsal but is barely palpable.
The body is long and slender and lies medially, between the testes alongside the ductus deferens. The tail is knob-like and projects ventral to the testis.16.7.3 Pig
The head is large and projects cranially. The body is more slender than that of the horse and the tail is proportionately large and visible.
16.7.4 Dog
The epididymis is relatively large. The head and tail project cranially and caudally, and the body is well developed but smaller in diameter than the head and tail. The epididymis of the cat, whilst similar to that of the dog, does not project as far cranially and caudally.
